Community Growth & Systems Intern
Apply nowAbout Storytime
Storytime is building the platform where local businesses and creators grow together. We connect restaurants, cafés, fitness studios, retailers and other neighborhood brands with authentic local creators. Our technology makes it easy for businesses to launch, manage and measure influencer campaigns while helping creators discover opportunities with places they genuinely love.
We are a fast-growing, early-stage company with a fully custom technology platform and a small team based in SoHo, New York City. This is a chance to join Storytime at an early stage and help shape the systems, processes, and community infrastructure that will support our next phase of community growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Community Growth and Systems Intern to help us grow and manage Storytime’s creator community while supporting the systems and technology that power our growth.
You’ll work closely with Storytime’s founders and community, growth, partnerships, and operations teams to communicate with creators, manage internal CRM systems, and support the workflows behind sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and engaging our community. Some responsibilities will follow established processes and recurring tasks, but you’ll also be expected to learn how those systems work, identify inefficiencies, and contribute ideas for making them faster, smarter, and more automated.
This role is especially suited for someone excited by the intersection of community, growth, operations, systems, and technology.
What You'll Work On
Improving how Storytime sources, vets, onboards, and re-engages creators
Managing and improving the CRM systems and workflows that support creator growth
Identifying repetitive or manual processes that could be simplified or automated
Supporting creator events, brand activations, outreach initiatives, and early-stage growth experiments
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Storytime’s internal CRM and creator management systems
Support creator sourcing, outreach, onboarding, re-engagement, and ongoing community management
Execute recurring operational and administrative workflows accurately and consistently
Track creator activity, outreach, campaign participation, and other community growth metrics
Communicate directly with creators and help build strong relationships within the Storytime community
Test new workflows, tools, and systems designed to make creator growth more scalable and efficient
Partner with the Storytime team on creator events, brand activations, growth initiatives, and operational projects
Contribute ideas for improving internal systems, creator experience, and community growth
Ideal Candidate
You may be a current college student looking for hands-on experience across community, growth, operations, and technology.
You would be a strong fit if you:
Are currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, Operations, Technology, or a related field
Are highly comfortable learning new software, platforms, and systems
Have strong attention to detail and can execute structured or repetitive processes reliably
Can learn how a process works, take ownership of it, and identify ways it could work better
Are naturally curious about systems, workflows, automation, and how technology can make a business more efficient
Are personable, confident, and genuinely enjoy communicating with people
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Are organized and comfortable managing multiple workflows at once
Can balance following an established process with thinking independently about how it could be improved
Are interested in startups, technology, creator marketing, social media, or growth
Are excited to work closely with a small team in our SoHo office at least three days per week
You do not need to be an engineer or have a technical background. We care more about your ability to learn systems quickly, think systematically, and approach problems with curiosity and ownership.
Nice to Have
Experience working with CRM platforms
Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, automation tools, or no-code tools
Previous internship or work experience at an early-stage startup
Familiarity with influencer marketing, social platforms, or local commerce
What Success Looks Like
During your first several months, you will:
Learn how creators, brands, and internal teams interact with Storytime’s platform and operational systems
Take ownership of recurring creator growth and CRM workflows and execute them reliably
Identify at least one meaningful opportunity to simplify, automate, or improve an existing process
Help test and implement improvements to internal workflows or creator management systems
Become equally comfortable communicating directly with creators and working behind the scenes inside Storytime’s CRM
Use feedback, data, and firsthand experience with our systems to recommend improvements as the company grows
What We Offer
The opportunity to help shape the future of local influencer marketing
Meaningful ownership over products used by real businesses and creators
Direct access to and mentorship from Storytime's founders and leadership team
A collaborative, in-person environment in SoHo
The opportunity to work with leading creators, restaurants and consumer brands
How to Apply
